After watching Dark Phoenix, another pointless money making addition to the already crowded X-men franchise) I had hoped this one would be different and have some sort of twist & purpose. I was wrong.

Although the movie is a bit edgy, it has taken and used the good values from the different genres the story encounters. It is not the best horror movie, neither superhero movie nor teen movie. The mix turns out to be consistant.
Rahne enters the pantheon of the best written lesbian character ever. Even though, again, sexuality is put too much on stake, her roots in conservative religion serve incredibly well her personnality and backstory. She has suffered because of her true nature, as a mutant, as a lesbian.
The problem comes to Illyana, Danielle and Roberto.
Why did the bear attacked Danielle in the first place? Because she didn't know it was her power and couldn't control it? The simple fact that she survived is a deus ex machina. br> The whole "I'm hot" story about Roberto is really childish and laughable.
Clearly, to create a pure, misanthropic and sarcastic murderer like Illyana, I expected more than a group of Marshmello and Slenderman fans who have no deeper purpose than "crying kids are my livelihood.
The solution can be found in Sam's characters.
The start point: forced to be miner: simple.
The twist: a claustrophobic crisis revealing his gruesome power: simple.
The input to the story: a piece of coal: simple.
( I conceed that using this model could have made repetitive and uninspired backstory, so. I give a point to the variety. at least)
However. why did he throw the ore at the end? If that thing counts to him, couldn't he throw a debris of the wreckage around? If this shows he moved to something else, this is a fun therapy to engage no other effort but emotional shock to be cured. Roberto and Rahne did not actually fight concretely their fears either. He found courage and she found a girlfriend, but Illyana killed the smiling men and Danielle gained control over the bear.
In a nutshell, the characters are not treated the same way. br> The lack of pondered explanations touches the whole film!
How does Essex Corporation/Dr. Reyes find the mutants and are able to catch them before anyone else? Some good ol' conspiracy?
If they are trained to be killers, what are they going to kill? Regular military purposes? Hitmans"
As I see it, no personnified antagonist can be found in the movie. Fear, as the demon bear, stands to be the vilain, as it travels the film from start to end. This is really smart. But what about Dr. Reyes? If the idea of rebellion had grown far back into the mind of the teens and as a common project, she wouldn't have stood a single chance. Even feable, she used her trap power against the crew, but the bear killed her in just few seconds. Adding more to the tea would have done the trick, once and for all. We just see flashing hints of Essex Corporation, so, as a viewer, it is not much of a threat again. Nonetheless, if we count Fear as an antagonist, I like it very much.
Despite the FXs, the horror and the action not being the best they could've been, some visuals are strikingly good. Shots occuring in the church are magnificent: the first dolly shot with Rahne, every occurence of the confessional. The rain of blood, the foggy dreamy forest in slowmo. The posters, the trailer, the communication teases a punk, rebel esthetic. I didn't see it very much (except Illyana clothes, but this is her personnality and Anya Taylor-Joy is always good looking. This is no matter in fact, because the gothic touches are doing the job.

Watch movie the new mutants 2020 online free full movie no sign ups. My honest opinion about the movie is that it's a good film but in another way it's also not a good film. Right now for me its in between good and bad, it's just a mediocre movie with an interesting plot. I like the horror aspect of the film because its prety refreshing to see that in a superhero film. I dont think you would want to take a little kid to see this movie because it's not like your average PG-13 superhero movies, it has some prety intense horror scenes that might leave an affect on some children. But overall I think it's a mediocre film that you could go and see in the theaters.

I guess this is Marvel trying to milk the cow by creating yet another franchise of superhero movies to exploit ad nauseam. However it was refreshing to watch a movie with entirely new characters for a change. I suppose it is an okay movie if you're just looking for some easy entertainment.
